Built for people who want a phone that rings
Last updated October 2026.
The service itself
Accessibility is the reason MyMedsReminder works the way it does. Many reminder tools assume a smartphone, good eyesight, steady hands, and the patience to learn an app. The people we call often have none of those, or do not want them. So the service is a plain phone call.
- Works on any phone, including a landline. Nothing to install, charge, or learn.
- No keypad and no menus. Sarah, our automated caller, talks, listens, and takes the person's word.
- Call times are set by the family, so the calls fit the person's day rather than the other way round.
- The family member does not need an app either. The call record and the weekly summary come by text or email, and we will read them to you over the phone if you prefer.
If the person you care for has trouble hearing, speaking, or following a conversation on the phone, call us before you sign up. We will tell you honestly whether the service is likely to work for them.
This website
The website should be usable by the adult children, spouses, and caregivers who sign up, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard alone, or a very large text size. Here is what we have done so far.
- Large, readable type. Text is set in a generous size with room between the lines, and it grows when you enlarge text in your browser.
- Clear contrast. Text and buttons are designed to meet the contrast levels in WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Keyboard navigation. Links, buttons, and form fields can be reached and used with the Tab key and Enter, and the item in focus is visibly marked.
- Meaningful headings. Pages use real headings in order, so screen-reader users can jump between sections.
- Labelled forms. Each field on the sign-up form has a visible label that is linked to it.
- The sample call. The recording of a sample call on the home page has a written transcript beside it, so nobody has to listen to know what Sarah says.
Where we are honest about the gaps
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA across the site. We are a small team, and we are still checking page by page with a screen reader and a keyboard. We have not had an outside audit yet. If you find something that does not work for you, it is more likely our mistake than yours, and we want to know about it.
How to report a barrier
Tell us what you were trying to do, which page you were on, and what got in the way. If you can, tell us which browser or assistive technology you use.
- Email admin@mymedsreminder.com
- Call (443) 891-4652
We will reply to you, fix what we can, and tell you when it is done.
We will do it with you on the phone
Nothing on this site has to be done on this site. If the sign-up form is hard to use, call us and we will take the details over the phone. If you want to read the call record, change a call time, or cancel, call us. If you would like us to read any page of this website to you, we will. The phone is how the service works, and it is how you can reach us too.
