Why MyMedsReminder exists
It started with one wish, said out loud.

How it started
The founder's father has a brother who has seizures. He takes medication twice a day, and twice a day there is a chance he forgets. The people who love him cannot be there every morning and every evening to ask.
One day the founder's father said he wished someone would call his brother. Not to lecture him. Just to call, say hello, and ask if he had taken his medication. A simple call from a kind voice, morning and evening, every day.
Nobody offered that. There were apps, pill boxes with alarms, and text messages, and all of them asked something of the person who forgets: a smartphone, good eyesight, a new habit. A phone call asks for none of that. It only needs a phone that rings. So the founder built the thing his father had wished for.
That is the whole story. No market study came first. There was a worried man, a brother who forgets, and a phone on the wall.
What we are trying to do
Our mission fits in one sentence: take one worry off the family's plate with a kind phone call, and tell the family when a call goes unanswered.
Sarah, our automated caller, phones at the times you pick. She says hello, asks how the person is doing, and asks whether they have taken their medication. She takes their word. If nobody answers, she calls again a few minutes later. If there is still no answer, she calls you. You get a written note of every call, and a weekly summary by text or email.
We do not try to do more than that, on purpose. The families we talk to do not ask for more. They ask to stop wondering.
What we are, and what we are not
We say this on every page, and we will say it here too. MyMedsReminder is a reminder service. It is not medical care, it is not monitoring, and it is not for emergencies. In an emergency, call 911.
- Sarah does not know which medicines anyone takes, and she never names a medicine or a dose. If asked, she points to the doctor or pharmacist who wrote the prescription.
- A call to you means the reminder call was not answered. It does not mean a dose was missed.
- What we record is what the person said, not what happened. If Dad says he took his pills, we write that down. We cannot see the pill box.
- We record calls only with the person's permission, so the family can listen back. We also keep a written note of each call.
We would rather you understand these limits before you sign up than feel let down later.
Where we are today
We are a small, new company at the validation stage. That means we are still proving the service with real families and listening closely to what they tell us. We do not have years of history, a large team, or published results, and we will not pretend otherwise. You will not find invented numbers on this site.
What we do have is a service that works today on any phone, including a landline, one clear price with no contract, and people who answer when you call us. If you want to know how many families we serve right now, ask, and we will tell you honestly.
How we decide what to build
We ask the families using the service, and we ask the people receiving the calls. If a change makes the calls kinder, clearer, or easier to trust, we build it. If it adds something to install, charge, or learn, we don't. If it would mean pretending to know things we cannot know, like whether a pill was swallowed, we don't.
Who runs it
A small team, led by the founder, who still listens to how the calls go and still answers the phone. We would rather tell you that than invent a page of names and titles.
